J Hot Fish Needs Your Help
KC Edward and his family are in desperate need according to his GoFundMe. The owner and operator of the delicious and popular J HOT FISH in Olde Towne East, occupying the same building that helped incubate Hot Chicken Takeover, needs a big pickup me up after some unforeseen consequences of expansion.
“In the past twenty months we have never asked for a help, via crowd funding which initially was in the game plan to take J Hot Fish mobile; however with consistent growth and expansions in our menu and now a delivery service being offered we never required help. As of today; We need to raise $45,000. Keep J HOT FISH open in the Olde Towne East community. As a family, we’ve poured our hearts and our life savings into J JOT FISH with one goal in mind… serve our community and make a difference.
Would you consider helping us? We will use the money to reopen a new location within 60 days of reaching our goal.”
We wrote about J Hot Fish back in the summer, here’s an excerpt:
“As the colorful artwork of Edwards’ mom surround us, he explains that the “J” in J Hot Fish is after his daughter, Jae. There is also a wall of exuberant fish drawings. “When a child comes in, I first give ‘em a drink,” said Edwards as he surveyed the artwork, “and then they have to give me a fish.”
J Hot Fish isn’t just about feeding the growing line of people, it’s about creating community. People are lured in by the fried fish expertise and wowed by That Cake, but they come back for the feel the friendship and welcoming service. And nothing says summer better than fast friends and fresh food.”
Nothing says the Holidays like helping the community. You can donate to their GoFundMe here and read more here.
