Paul’s Fifth Avenue announces it will close today

Longtime Columbus eatery Paul’s Fifth Avenue announced it would be closing its doors for good today.

Friday will be the last lunch service for the restaurant located at 1565 W. Fifth Ave.

Owner Paul Panzera has been serving up food in Columbus for 50 years, first at a breakfast and lunch restaurant in 1966, and then at Paul’s Pantry, later renamed Paul’s Fifth Avenue.

Further details aren’t known, but an employee and a sign at the restaurant confirmed the closing.
