Voters voiced a resounding “Yes!” to a $6.9 million school levy that would support the construction and operation of a fourth high school for the Olentangy Local School District.
The district is Ohio’s fastest-growing, and currently teaches a whopping 19,000 students, according to superintendent Mark Raiff.
Raiff said that all three of the district’s high school are currently over-capacity, and the district is expecting 1,000 more students in the next two years. Raiff said that a new high school could be completed in two to three years.
Tax increases will begin in 2017.
