CBS Poll: Clinton Leads Trump 46-42 in Ohio Ahead of Debate, OSU Visit
According to a new CBS poll, Hillary Clinton is up 4 Points in Ohio. This is in stark difference to several weeks ago where Clinton was losing to Trump by as many as 5 points.
The gain in points could be attributed to Trump’s recent national disasters which have hurt him with moderates and independents — voters that were likely never sold on him in the first place but had reservations on Clinton.
Among Trump’s recent stumbles, include a lewd videotape from a decade ago, the news that he hasn’t paid federal income taxes in nearly twenty years and that his construction projects purchase steel from China instead of the U.S.
“He claims to be on the side of workers,” Clinton said of Trump on yesterday at a rally on OSU’s South Oval. “He especially likes to talk about how he supports American steel workers. He even had the nerve, this is what kills me, he even had the nerve about how American steel will send skyscrapers soaring. The whole time he was hiding the truth, hiding the fact that he choose to buy illegally dumped Chinese steel instead of American steel.”
