Ohio law would keep records of women who got abortions

Following the passage of the bill that would defund Planned Parenthood through the Ohio Senate, a bill has been introduced in the Ohio House that would keep records on women who get abortions.
Though the bill does not specify who would keep the records or who would have access to the records, Ohio Rep. Anne Gonzales (R-Westerville) said that abortion providers would keep the records and there are no plans to hand them over to the state.
However, Democrats have raised concerns over patients’ privacy rights and whether or not it is ethical to keep records on women who get abortions.
