Poll: Trump tops Clinton in Ohio
As the general election approaches, nationwide attention will turn to swing states, Ohio included. And judging by the latest polls, we’re in for a wild ride until November.
A Quinnipiac University Poll released this morning shows Republican frontrunner Donald Trump narrowly beating former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton 43-39, with a 3 percentage point margin of error.
Unsurprisingly, the candidates have sharp divides in support based on gender.
Trump is up a whopping 15 points among men, while Clinton is up 7 points among women.
“This election may be good for divorce lawyers,” wrote Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac Poll. “The gender gap is massive and currently benefits Trump.”
Similar numbers are coming out of other swing states, like Pennsylvania and Florida.
