Rigging Ohio’s Election: “physically almost impossible.”
Lately a common talking point in Presidential Candidate Donald Trump’s stump speech has been how the election is currently “rigged” against him.
Ohio’s Republican Secretary of State, Jon Husted, has denounced these claims as “irresponsible.”
“It’s bipartisan, it’s transparent, and there’s just no justification for concern about widespread voter fraud,” said Husted.
Despite all this, Husted told WOSU reporters that he’ll still be voting for Trump — one of the reasons being Trump’s potential picks for the Supreme Court Justice.
In an interview with The Dispatch, Terry Casey, a Republican consultant in Columbus and 14 year veteran of the Franklin County Board of Elections thinks these ‘rigging’ claims coming out of Trump’s camp are without substance.
“Rigging the election in Ohio is physically almost impossible because it is so diversified among 88 counties. Every board of election and board membership and staffing is equal among Republicans and Democrats.”
Despite this reassurance, according to The Dispatch, 73% perfect of Republicans believe that the election could be snatched from Trump because of rigging.
