Tied in the polls, Trump and Kasich face off tomorrow

In a Republican primary race for the ages, business mogul Donald Trump and Ohio Governor John Kasich are facing off in the Buckeye State.

Kasich will be running on his message of moderation and compromise, while Trump takes his platform of strong border control and strong deal-making to the pulpit.

According to most polls, Trump and Kasich are tied in Ohio, and due to our state’s “winner-take-all” system of awarding delegates, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Whoever wins the election will receive all of the state’s delegates, regardless of how the other candidates fare.

This means that if Trump wins Ohio, he will almost certainly receive the required number of delegates to receive the nomination at this summer’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

If Kasich wins Ohio, he might deny Trump the required number of delegates to receive the nomination, resulting in a brokered convention.

Rival Republican candidate Marco Rubio has even gone as far as to urge Ohioans to back Kasich in the primary in order to stop Trump.

The 2016 presidential race is shaping up to be the election of a lifetime, so whoever you plan on backing, let your voice be heard and vote tomorrow!
