Trump says Kasich would make a fine VP
Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump told USA Today that he’d be cool with Kasich as VP.
“I do like Kasich,” Trump said. “There are people I like, but I don’t think they like me because I have hit them hard.”
Even though Trump has named Kasich and a few other of his rivals as possible candidates for his Vice President, Kasich himself doesn’t seem too keen on accepting Trump’s offer.
He’s recently called Trump’s foreign policy “ridiculous,” and previously said “under no circumstances” will he be Vice President.
The man who calls himself “The Prince of Light and Hope” is expected to give a speech today where he will say that a Kasich presidency is the only way out of a “path of darkness,” which will probably include some strong allusions to Trump’s proposed policies.
Even though it sounds like he’s running for president of Middle Earth, perhaps the general electorate will receive the speech differently.
In any case, don’t expect to see a Trump / Kasich ticket any time soon.
