Drive-by shooting leaves 14-year-old dead, perps unknown

A drive-by shooting left an unsuspecting 14-year-old dead and another 21-year-old man wounded during a game of dice Monday evening on the East Side.

The shooting occurred at about 5:15 p.m. on South Weyant Avenue off East Main Street. Armani D. Anderson, 14, was shot in the torso and taken to Grant Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead before 6 p.m.

The other victim was also taken to Grant, where he is in stable condition.

Though about 50 people were present during the shooting, no one has come forward with information.

Conflicting reports have left police with few leads on this case.
