Pursuit of thief ends in 115mph chase on I-71

Hilliard police attempted to pull over a theft suspect early this morning, and he led them on a high-speed chase instead of complying.

When sirens started flashing at 5:20 a.m., the suspect punched the gas on his blue Honda Odyssey minivan, reaching speeds of up to 115mph on an interstate chase.

Eventually, the chase was called off on I-71 due to safety concerns.

The suspect’s vehicle was last seen in the area of South 22nd Street and East Whittier Street.
