After 70-year old Fredrick H. Coleman of Gilbert, Arizona missed a turn signal and a stop sign in Monroe Township on Tuesday, police pulled him over.
Turns out the traffic violations netted a drug trafficker.
Police said that “criminal indicators were observed,” and drug dogs were called to the Ford F-150 pickup truck. The dogs found a whopping 60 pounds of marijuana stuffed in three duffel bags, worth about $120,000 according to police.
With medical marijuana possibly making its way to the ballot this year, pot violations may soon be a thing of the past, but as for now, crime still doesn’t pay.
