UDF customers restrain wrench-wielding robber

A string of local United Dairy Farmers robberies came to a close yesterday morning when customers tackled and held down a wrench-wielding robber until police arrived.

22-year-old Dorian McKee got away with undisclosed amounts of cash from two area UDF stores when he ran into the buildings swinging a silver pipe wrench.

At the third UDF McKee attempted to rob, he hit a customer on the head with the wrench before four store employees and customers rushed into action.

They tacked and held him down until police were able to escort him out of the building.

McKee is set to appear in court today after being charged with armed robbery.
