All Athens County school districts close after threat against ‘American students’

An online video posted to the social media app Yeti contained an ominous message that closed all Athens County schools today.

“#Tomorrow American #students will #die. Some of u are ok. Don’t go to school tomorrow.”

The video was posted to the app’s “Ohio University” group, though OU decided to remain open, albeit with increased security measures.

Authorities are currently investigating the threat with help from the FBI.
