Badass granny fights back against robber

When a man asked 78-year-old Shirley Lester for a dollar in a Wendy’s parking lot, she opted for generosity and said, “yes.”

But when she opened her purse to pull one out, the man grabbed her purse and started pulling.

Rather than let go, Lester fought back.

She said the man eventually started to pull “with all his might,” knocking her over and dragging her 20 feet across the parking lot.

One of the straps on her purse broke and the man got away, but police found the purse with everything in it–except her money.
