Updates: Suspicious letter evacuates County Sheriff’s Dept.
Hazmat teams rushed to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department Thursday afternoon after a suspicious substance was found in a letter.
According to Columbus firefighters, an employee in the sheriff’s office opened a letter containing a white powder and a threat. The area around the office has been evacuated.
The Fire Department’s Hazmat Unit determined there was no threat after an investigation.
