Columbus Man Arrested for Terrorism, Donating Money to ISIS

Aaron T. Daniels, also known as Harun Muhammad and Abu Yusuf was arrested today in Columbus and is scheduled to appear in Federal Court this afternoon on terrorism related charges.

He is accused of providing or attempting to provide money and support to ISIS — according to the The U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Daniels planned to leave Columbus today with intention of making his way to Libya and joining the terrorist organization.

Daniels allegedly paid $250 to an ISIS recruiter in the hopes to join their ranks.

According to the federal complaint levied against Daniels, the money was wired to Abu Isa Al-Amriki, a now dead member and recruiter of ISIS. This all came to light because Daniels allegedly told an undercover FBI agent his desire to travel to Libya.

Daniels is held without bond.
