Columbus Zoo welcomes two new Flamingo chicks!

The latest additions to the Columbus Zoo’s collection of baby animals are two new flamingo chicks!
Since they hatched on June 28 and 29, zookeepers have been caring for them, feeding them and acclimating them to their watery environment.
Because they’re only a few weeks old and still vulnerable to local airborne predators, zookeepers are only showing them to visitors for short periods of time any given day, but soon they’ll have a permanent home with the rest of their flamboyance.
(That’s a group of flamingos, by the way.)
