Columbusites Soon to See Cut in Electric Bills

Due to a settlement between American Electric Power and other parties, AEP consumers could see a 3% cut in their electric bill soon, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

Households can save about $4.25, which doesn’t sound like a lot, but that’s a large coffee every month, or three and half tacos from Los Tacos Guachos, or a slice of pizza from Mikey’s Late Night Slice. Think of the possibilities.

This settlement serves several different issues between AEP and involved parties, including allegations of some consumers being double-charged for fuel, as well as a dispute over past interest charges.
