Creative Play Center, a local Worthington daycare center, reported elevated lead levels in their playground, According to 10tv.
CPC alerted parents and parents were told to have their kids tested — none of the kids came back with positive results. Symptoms of lead poisoning include nausea, vomiting, pain in the joints, and loss of appetite.
Columbus Public Health told 10tv that the elevated lead levels are probably due to the construction of a masonic temple next door.
The CPC refused any questions or comments and are referring people to Columbus Public Health. It looks like they’re taking care of the situation thought as a parent reported that the area was roped off and covered in plastic.
