Family of Missing Columbus Girl to Hold Support Vigil
The CPD and Family Members are looking for a missing Columbus girl,Dorothy Coxson, 17, who went missing Thursday evening around 5pm from her parents backyard in the Linden area.
According to her older sister, Ameri’ca Harrison, she didn’t take her cell phone, wallet, clothing or house keys. Since her disappearance none of her friends or family have heard from her since school that day. She was supposed to go to a church meeting that evening and never made it.
Dorothy, did not show up for school the following day or to her job Dibella’s on Saturday.
The family will be holding a support vigil and prayer at their home, the address will be give out privately but there is an event page associate with the vigil.
“Dorothy is a happy go lucky girl. She is loved by everyone. She is a senior at The Graham School on indianola. She works part at Dibella’s. She plays volleyball. She loves animals. She wants to go to college to be a veterinarian. Dorothy plays volleyball through a sports group at the YMCA.” Ameri’ca told us this morning when asked about her sister.
She furthered elaborated on the support vigil held tonight. “We will be having several members from my parents church Xenos Christian Fellowship along with close friends and family. We are hoping that Dorothy will come home safe and unharmed. We ask for positive thoughts and prayers for a safe return!”
