Federal agents stopped a drug ring running between Tuscon, Arizona and Columbus today, seizing over 2,000 pounds of marijuana and $1.2 million in cash.
The suspects aroused suspicions when they were found renting high-capacity moving vehicles like U-Haul trucks and meeting at a hotel near Polaris.
Each suspect was charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana, a crime punishable by a range of 10 years up to life in prison, and a $10 million fine.
