Netflix Gives Early Christmas Present — Offline Mode
Are you unable to properly stream Netflix because you live at the bottom of a well? Maybe you live near an active volcano or 20,000 leagues under the sea and that’s the reason aren’t jacked into the worldwide web?
Well, lucky for you — Netflix is launching an offline mode so now you can spend two weeks intermittently downloading every season of Star Trek: Next Generation so you can watch without your stream breaking.
Yes, the future is here (again.)
There is an obvious caveat — you do need an internet connection to download every episode of Cheers, House of Cards or any of the awesome Werner Herzog documentaries.
There’s no word if Netflix is planning to beam their shows directly into your frontal lobe but we’re confident that is likely their the next step.
They announced their new download service on Twitter.
Airplane mode. Road trip mode. Stuck-in-the-subway-for-20-minutes mode. Your favorite stories are now available for download any time. pic.twitter.com/g7QZA3TyE8
