The New York Times published an extensive article on former Ohio State football player Kosta Karageorge, who was found dead in a suspected suicide in 2014.

Karageorge, 22, was found in a dumpster holding a gun he owned on November 30, after searches for him were conducted over the previous days.

The Times makes a point of mentioning Karageorge’s numerous concussions, which his parents estimate were about 15, though they said he could have sustained more.

One of the last texts Karageorge sent out from his phone was, “my heads been so [expletive] latly from a these concussioms i really am sorry.”

Doctors think the concussions could have affected Karageorge’s decision-making in the weeks leading up to his death.
