Ohio State is breaking its own records left and right.
Last year alone, the university raised a ridiculous $454 million from a whopping 245,653 donors (also a record).
That topped the previous record in 2011 when prominent Columbus businessman and L Brands founder Les Wexner donated $100 million to help establish the Wexner Medical Center, bringing that year’s total to $407 million.
This year marked the end of the university’s “But For Ohio State…” fundraising campaign, which has raked in almost $2.8 billion from 727,000 donors since it began in 2009.
Needless to say, raising almost half a billion dollars in one year alone made for a strong finish.
