Whoops! West side car thief caught on security camera

Columbus police are on the lookout for a man caught on home security camera breaking into a car on the West Side.

The video feed was captured on July 3 on Eaglecrest Drive in Galloway, where the crook can be seen inspecting the camera and looking directly into it.

Talk about indiscretion.

The man is also a suspect in a number of break ins and a burglary in the area. One woman’s car was stolen, and found in Indiana the next day.

Police ask that anyone with information call Columbus police at 614-645-2257 or send an email to rdent@columbuspolice.org.
