Dozens cast out of their homes in north Columbus

Code violations have caused some residents of the Oakland Park apartments to have to leave their homes. Because of suspected burst water lines, water was shut off to 44 apartments, with 17 of those having their electricity shut off as well to reduce the risk of shock.

The landlord has been given three days to fix the problems or the residents will have to find new places to live.

The American Red Cross has set up a temporary shelter for displaced residents at the Fedderson Community Recreation Center.
