Trump rips into Kasich’s ‘disgusting’ eating habits
In what has become a literal presidential food fight, Republican frontrunner Donald Trump mocked Ohio Governor John Kasich’s eating habits during a rally in Rhode Island.
“He has a news conference all the time when he’s eating,” Trump said. “I have never seen a human being eat in such a disgusting fashion.”
He continued, “I’m always telling my young son Barron… children, small, little bites–small. This guy takes a pancake and he’s shoveling it into his mouth. It’s disgusting. Do you want that for your president? I don’t think so.”
Trump’s receptive crowd roared with laughter and jeered at the notion Kasich would be president.
The comments come only a day after Trump derided the seemingly flimsy alliance between Kasich and Texas Senator Ted Cruz to stop the real estate mogul.
The Kasich campaign hasn’t flung a proverbial fruit cocktail back–that is to say, they haven’t issued a response.
