Ohio Needs to End Traffic Deaths, Injuries

According to an AP article published by NBC4i, the Obama administration is setting a national goal to reduce traffic crashes that cause fatalities and injuries  to zero within the next 30 years.

In Ohio, total crashes in 2015 totaled 302, 307, and over 35 thousand of those crashes happened in Franklin County, the highest crash rate by thousands across the state, according to a Public Safety report.

Transportation department officials made a plan that would focus on promoting increased seatbelt use, rumble strips, and campaigns against drunk and distracted driving.

Ohio has already started doing that by implementing stronger campaigns against distracted driving, and took real life footage of distracted people on the highway to bring awareness to the issue.
