Buckeyes Are Headed to the Playoffs

Ohio State is in the semifinals of the College Football Playoff. Who’s surprised? Actually a bunch of people — Ohio State is the first non-conference champion put up and selected by the CFP committee. What gives? Their record — 3-1 against teams in the current College Football Playoff rankings, those three teams? Oklahoma, Michigan, and Wisconsin. They also took a victory from Nebraska when they were no. 10.

With only one loss to their names against Penn State, they shouldn’t be feeling too sour since Penn State went onto become the Big Ten Champs on Saturday, taking a tight game from Wisconson.

Clemson and Ohio State met three years at the Discover Orange Bowl where they lost 40-35, but the statistics are looking to be in our favor considering that the Buckeyes are 2-0 in CFP games and 3-0 in New Year’s 6 bowl games.

Urban Meyer also has a nasty record, 10-2 for all time bowl games, 3 of those are for the Buckeyes.

Fans interested in purchasing tickets in the Ohio State sections through Ohio State University for the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl are encouraged to submit a request now at the following link on the Athletic Department website: http://go.osu.edu/PublicCFPTickets.

Tickets are starting at $120, so don’t be shocked when you’re getting a receipt for a couple hundred depending on how many you buy.
