Buckeyes Football — 2nd in National Attendance
CBSSports just released their annual college football attendance records and we’re sitting at a comfortable #2 behind Michigan.
With an average of 107,278 in 2016, we’ve had a marginal growth since last year’s report (less than 1%) but sit in a healthy 2nd place over Texas A&M who only reported an average of 101,821 and that’s down 2% from last year year.
With Michigan sitting at 110,468 — Ohio is in reaching range of having the most attended College Football program in the nation, and at 105% capacity, perhaps it’s time to add a few more seats to the bleachers.
Some of this year’s biggest attendance gains were by LSU (8%) and Texas (9%) while some of the biggest drop offs in attendance were not at Big 10 schools but lesser schools like, Missouri (-20%), Akron (-43%) and New Mexico State (-45%).
What do you think OSU needs to be #1? Sound off in the comments.
