UPDATE: Chipotle’s just opening late, not closing … Thank Goodness!

Update, 2 p.m.: The Denver-based chain says its stores will open at 3 p.m. local time on Feb. 8 instead of closing for the day as previous reports indicated. This is probably due to a massive outcry by burrito fanatics everywhere, but that can’t be confirmed at this time.

After several E. Coli, salmonella and norovirus outbreaks, Chipotle stores nationwide are closing their doors on Feb. 8 for staff meetings.

The meetings aim to discuss food safety/how the company is stopping these outbreaks once and for all.
