FAA Hiring 1,400 Entry Level Air-Traffic Control Positions Starting Tomorrow
Do you have what it takes to guide airplanes down to the ground? The notoriously high-stress position will be opening to 1,400 new candidates starting tomorrow. Applications will be taken online and only for a one-week period, ending on August 15th.
Despite the high-stress environment the job pays disgustingly with the median annual salary at $122,950.
There are some restrictions to apply though, and there are slightly strange restrictions. You must be under 31 and you must be willing to relocate. Where you might ask? Wherever the FAA tells you, that’s where.
Training takes place in Oklahoma City and those that make it through FAA bootcamp will start in a small airport. So, say bye to Columbus.
Why all the hires? Baby-boomers. Air traffic controllers are required to retire at or before hitting 56. For good reasons, we’re sure.
