Kasich on Election Rigging: “like saying we never landed on the moon.”

Governor John Kasich has had a tough year, after quitting on his Presidential Bid due to lousy numbers, feuding with Harry Potter and being ridiculed by Steve Buscemi on Late Night, he seems like he should be a broken man. He’s still at it though, going against the claims from Trump’s camp on election rigging.

After claims from Donald Trump’s camp that the Ohio election among many others has been rigged many Republicans and Democrats have refuted this claim, hunkering down on the safety of Ohio’s voting process.Governor John Kasich sure loves his metaphors and similes and is back in making media rounds, this time to tell everyone to shut up about Ohio voter fraud.

“To say that the elections are rigged and all these votes are stolen — that’s like saying we never landed on the moon,” Kasich said on CBS “This Morning.” He added that those accusations are “silly,” and “I don’t think it’s good for our democracy.”

“I worry about the 25 percent of Americans who may say when the election is over that it is stolen,” Kasich said. “That is a big fat joke.”

On top of all that, it comes a few days after Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted, a Republican and Donald Trump supporter, refuted those claims as well saying that Ohio and our voting system is, “is more secure than it’s ever been.”

Some could argue that Donald Trump is not talking about physical rigging of the electorate but a concerted effort made by all media to distort coverage, and not fairly cover both candidates.

To date, Donald Trump has received $3 billion in free media versus Hillary Clinton who has only received $746 million. This is all according to a data from the NYT. Their data is from March, so in all likelihood the current numbers are far steeper.

According to data from The Atlantic — Donald Trump has received nearly double the amount of media mentions than Hillary Clinton in the past 30 days. This stays true for All Time as well.

Husted reassured Ohio voters though that they take voter fraud or suppression very seriously.

“If there are complaints and they’re legitimate, we want to hear about them,” he said, saying his office is prepared to “investigate any claim of voter fraud or voter suppression.”
