‘Sad ending’ for Asian massage parlor

Reynoldsburg shut down an Asian massage parlor on a zoning ordinance after suspicions were raised about the services it offered. Talk about a sad ending.

When kid-friendly business Capital City Comics noticed Cai Spa massage parlor pop up next door, employees were concerned about its clientele: mostly middle-aged to older males.

Undercover officers investigated the establishment over a period of weeks, and human trafficking was suspected.

However, the officers could not prove any criminal activity was being committed, so they called the fire, health and zoning departments.

It was finally the zoning department that put the proverbial lid back on the ‘essential oils.’ The city’s planning administrator said the business violated zoning ordinances because no one in the establishment was a licensed massage therapist, thus he classified the parlor an adult business.
