Time for a day date!

Those of you who work outside the 9 to 5 have the luxury/misery of being able to utilize your weekdays for social time. When you meet another night owl, and you’ve created sparks, you gotta make a date in the city when us corporate hacks are stuck at our desks. Luckies.

The Meet Up
Cindy Sherman: Imitation of Life
@The Wex

Head to The Wex, where you can catch Cindy Sherman: Imitation of Life. The career retrospective showcases the many lives that Sherman has taken on for her work. The photographer, model, hair and makeup artist, and set designer creates scenes and characters that she immortalizes in her images.

Moving Right Along
Columbus Oktoberfest
@Ohio Expo Center

After observing and carefully considering art, it might be time to throw back some beers brought to you by girls in dirndls. Life is all about balance. Learn to polka and appreciate a good tuba solo at this year’s 52nd annual Columbus Oktoberfest at The Ohio Expo Center. Visit the Art and Kraft Marketplatz to do a little shopping while you quaff your German brews. You know you’d look sexy in a dirndl.

Late Night
Fourth Street Bar and Grille
1810 N Fourth Street

After you’ve polka’d to your little heart’s content, you can head out, and take the short walk to Fourth Street Bar and Grille. The city’s unofficial Soccer bar has plenty of personality to round out your night. The full menu is available late, and they have $2.75 PBRs, and $5 green tea slushies. That’s kind of healthy, right?
