Columbus will host multiple March Madness NCAA championship games

The NCAA has chosen Columbus to host 2018’s first and second rounds of the immensely popular mens basketball tournament. The games will be held at the Nationwide Arena on March 22nd and 24th. This marks the 5th time in 15 years that Columbus has been chosen to host NCAA games.

In addition to the March Madness games, Columbus was also chosen to host numerous other NCAA championship games in other sports and divisions.

  • DIII Women’s Basketball Championship – March 2020 (Capital – Capital Center)
  • DIII Women’s Volleyball Championship – November 2020 (Capital – Capital Center)

2021

  • DII Women’s Basketball Championship
  • National Collegiate Rifle Championship – March 2021 (Ohio State – Converse Hall)
  • National Collegiate Men’s Volleyball Championship – May 2021 (Ohio State – St. John Arena)
  • DI Women’s Golf Championship (Regionals) – May 2021 (Ohio State – OSU Golf Club Scarlet Course)
  • DI Women’s Volleyball Championship – December 2021 (Ohio State – Nationwide Arena)

2022

  • National Collegiate Women’s Bowling Championship – April 2022 (Thomas More – Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl)
  • DI Men’s Lacrosse Quarterfinals – May 2022 (Ohio State – Ohio Stadium)
  • DI Men’s Golf Championship (Regionals) – May 2022 (Ohio State – OSU Golf Club Scarlet Course)
