It came out of the linen closet

After nearly a decade, Susan Van Pelt Petry, a dance artist, educator, and advocate for the arts, is returning to the stage for a hybrid performance like no other.

“The Linen Closet and Other Collections” is a solo performance by Petry that combines work of fabrics, sound, and spoken word.

This first portion of the dance-theatre work portrays the many facets of women: their clothes, their bodies and their work. The remainder of the show is a compilation of short choreographic works from contemporary, to hip-hop and even yoga inspired movement.

The performance will run at the Van Fleet Theatre, 549 Franklin Avenue on September 8 and 9 from 3- 7:30pm.
