14-year advocate for Crew throws in towel

A company that has been lobbying on behalf of the Crew SC since 2003 has resigned.

Byers Minton & Associates LLC felt there was a “conflict” in continuing to represent the team, reports Columbus Business First. The conflict? The Columbus Partnership.

Apparently this decision was reach on a mutual basis with the soccer team.

Here’s what the Crew had to say about it, per Columbus Business First.

“Byers Minton is an excellent lobbying firm and we remain grateful for their representation and efforts on the Club’s behalf. Byers Minton notified the club of a newly developed conflict of interest with an entity they have historically represented and it was mutually agreed by both parties to part ways under the best of circumstances given the conflict.”
