Columbus is Hosting A Boxing Show

The actual city of Columbus is hosting a boxing show via the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department (CRPD).

The boxing and celebrity showcase will be titled, “Columbus Celebrates Its Boxing Legends,” and will feature greats James ‘Buster’ Douglas, Olympic gold medalist Jerry Page, Steve and Charles Gregory, Marvin Green, Vonzell Johnson and Manning Galloway.

The boxing showcase will consist of 14 three-minute bouts including a variety of weight classes of men and women, both youth and adult.

Everett Smith, CRPD boxing coach and mentor, said, “Columbus, particularly the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, has played a significant role in creating and nurturing these athletes.”

The event will serve as a fundraiser for CRPD’s boxing program. Proceeds from tickets and a silent auction will help fund support for current and future programs that serve the residents of Columbus.

Tickets and more information can be found at here.
