Former Buckeyes Named Rookie of the Year
Ezekiel Elliott and Joey Bosa, two former Buckeyes, were named Rookies of the Year by the Professional Football Writers of America.
Elliot rushed the league-high 322 times for 1,631 yards and 15 touchdowns. He finished second in the NFL with 1,994 total scrimmage yards after adding 32 pass receptions for 363 yards and one touchdown.
Bosa led all NFL rookies with 10.5 sacks in only 12 games. He was a two-time NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month and became the first Chargers rookie to have 10 or more sacks since Shawne Merriman.
Wide receiver Mike Thomas and offensive tackle Taylor Decker were also members of the all-rookie team.
