People’s reactions are pretty much all over the place: from pleased, to pissed, to talking smack about the only reason McDermott ever had a winning season was because of his son. Doug McDermott played for Creighton under his dad’s command but is now a player on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
McDermott, 52, has been the head coach at Creighton since the 2010–11 season. His record in seven seasons is 165-81. Coach McDermott has led Creighton to four NCAA tournament appearances in seven years. The Blue Jays finished 25-10 this past season.[symple_button url=”http://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-basketball/2017/06/82770/creighton-coach-greg-mcdermott-meeting-with-ohio-state-wednesday-about-coaching-vacancy-per-espn-report” color=”black” button_target=”_self”]Read more[/symple_button]
