Gene Smith, OSU athletic director, will meet with Golden State assistant Mike Brown later today.
Breaking: Thad Matta is so last Monday. Greg McDermott of Creighton University is so in. Or at least that’s what people have been gossiping about.

People’s reactions are pretty much all over the place: from pleased, to pissed, to talking smack about the only reason McDermott ever had a winning season was because of his son. Doug McDermott played for Creighton under his dad’s command but is now a player on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
McDermott, 52, has been the head coach at Creighton since the 2010–11 season. His record in seven seasons is 165-81. Coach McDermott has led Creighton to four NCAA tournament appearances in seven years. The Blue Jays finished 25-10 this past season.
