Twenty One Pilots Playing The Basement?
From playing back-to-back shows at Madison Square Garden to winning a Grammy to playing a 300-person capacity venue; not necessarily the route most musicians take but Twenty One Pilots is making an exception. Right when we thought they sold out to the big man and forgot all about us, they’ve decided to treat their hometown fans to shows at three Columbus venues: The Basement, Newport Music Hall, and Express LIVE! June 20-22.
Here’s how it works: Sign in or create an account here, put in some very brief information about yourself, choose which venue you’d like to see Twenty One Pilots at and wah-lah, you’re registered. Don’t bother with duplicate entries because they’ll be eliminated.
Simply registering does not guarantee you tickets; you and about a million other screaming 13-year-old members of the Skeleton Clique (yes, that is the age requirement), are in the running for the unique codes. You’ll have to wait patiently until 5 p.m. this Wednesday when the select number of codes are sent out via text to the random recipients. If by some stroke of luck Ticketmaster buzzes on your hotline, act fast because you only have one hour to purchase your ticket! If your code goes unused, your ticket opportunity will go to the next random person so keep your phone handy.
Bands do not do this sort of thing everyday or really…ever so don’t act like you’re too cool for this opportunity. They want to thank their native fans for catapulting them into the fame they’ve nestled into — so let them, dammit.
