You shall not pass through these roads for the Arts Festival

People will be driving, biking, walking, boarding, and hell, maybe even flying into downtown for the annual Columbus Arts Festival this weekend. Some 400,000 people are expected to get their culture on throughout Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We can’t have all those people playing in traffic so to keep everyone safe, a slew of streets will be blocked off from 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, to 6 a.m. on Monday, June 12.
Here’s where your Prius can’t cruise during that time:
- S. Civic Center Drive /South Second Street from W. Town Street to W. Mound Street
- S. Civic Center Drive from W. Mound Street to W. Main Street
- W. Main Street (W. Rich Street west of the river) from McDowell Street to S. Front Street
- Washington Blvd. from W. Main Street to W. Broad Street
- Cherry Street from S. Front Street to South Second Street
- W. Rich Street (W. Town Street west of the river) from Lucas Street to S. Front Street
- W. Noble Street from South Civic Center Drive to Second Street
- Jewett Street closed at W. Mound Street
- W. Town Street from S. Ludlow Street to S. Civic Center Drive
Save time and gas by taking one of Columbus’ several free ride sharing options. Here’s a list of those things (we love lists):
