What is now 21 acres of vacant land west of COSI will be transformed into a commercial sidekick to the Scioto Peninsula by an Indiana company.
Buckingham Companies of Indianapolis beat out three local developers to gain responsibility for what the President of Columbus Downtown Development Corp. told The Dispatch could be “One of the biggest developments in the history of Columbus.”
The area will have a main drag type of feel with restaurants, shops, offices, and potentially two 30-story residential towers. CDDC predicts the project will run $500 million over the next decade, reports The Dispatch. They hope to get the first phase underway by spring.
