Horrible Henderson: UA seeks pricey upgrade + bike path
Do you have nightmares of Henderson Road’s flooding, potholes, and un-bike-ability?
By 2019, you could be sleeping easy if the city of Upper Arlington gets the $2 million upgrade it’s seeking.
Renovations would zero in on the section of Henderson Road between Riverside Drive and Sawmill Road.
The main objective of the proposal is to install an underground storm sewer system to reduce flooding, reports thisweeknews.com. According to engineers, the storm sewers are in dire need of attention—the last time they were updated was in 1980.
The proposal would also include a suggested “shared-use” path on the north side of Henderson that would connect to an existing sidewalk on Sawmill Road.
UA plans to hold a public hearing early next year to discussed the path.
