Maryhaven to add new facility with more detox beds

In order to keep up with the surge in overdoses happening in Ohio, Maryhaven will add a 50-bed detox facility. The exact location has not yet been disclosed but we do know that it will be in an existing building, separate from the treatment center’s main campus that has 32 beds.

Maryhaven has had their nose to the grindstone during this opioid epidemic to bring wait times down from weeks to days. They’ve even committed their weekends to this initiative. Their target is to bring down a typical wait of 21-30 days to 14-21 days.

There are currently about 104 detox beds in the county and 283 longer-term residential beds.

At least 4,149 Ohioans died from overdoses last year.
