Graeter’s Ice Cream is Making Beer

Graeter’s Ice Cream is Making Beer

Do your eyes deceive you? No, they don’t – Graeter’s Ice Cream is teaming up with Cincinnati native, Braxton Brewing, for a collaboration beer called the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout, based on one of Graeter’s most popular and oldest ice creams.

This frankenbeer is set to hit the market February 6th, so you’ll be able to have drinks and dessert combined by Valentine’s Day. Mmm, romantic.

The beer is made with Greater’s black raspberry puree and Braxton Brewing Co.’s one-of-a-kind milk stout.

Alas, Graeter’s may be trendy, but they’re not the first to mix beer and ice cream in Ohio. Columbus-local Jeni’s Ice Cream did it first way back in November with Stone Xocoveza when they literally poured a Mexican stout onto Jeni’s spicy, chocolatey Xocorosa ice cream.

Jeni’s is apparently not into metaphors when it comes to ice cream/beer pairings. Still, Graeter’s is the only Ohio ice cream company to make their own beer, so that’s pretty neat. Now all you have to do is put it in your face.
