Cheers: Organic distillery coming to Grandview soon

A new distillery that pays homage to Ohio’s capital city will be elevating Grandview’s drinking and eating experience coming spring of 2018.

High Bank Distillery will be located at 1051 Goodale Boulevard just west of Grandview Yard in a old industrial building. The space will be transformed into a modern gather place with a viewing area of the distillery and a full-service bar and kitchen. They’ll specialize in 100 percent organic gin and vodka, blended rye whiskey and charred white oak barrel bourbon whiskey.

High Bank Distillery is named after the careful planning process our forefathers took when laying out the state’s capital city, Columbus. Initially, they considered Franklinton but due to its close proximity to the water, they thought it best to find a place less prone to flooding.

Just across the fork of the Olentangy and Scioto rivers were the high bank of the Scioto on which they decided to establish Columbus on February 14, 1812.

“We will be taking the same uncompromised approach when selecting each ingredient to create every plate of food, crafted cocktail and bottle of High Bank spirits” -High Bank Distillery press release
