2,500+ to March on Columbus Statehouse Tonight

Tonight will mark another statehouse protest, this time endorsed by Socialist Alternative. With nearly 7,000 interested in the event and 2.5k attending — it could be one of the largest Columbus protests since Trump’s initial victory in November, which allegedly drew a crowd of nearly 3,000.

The protest, organized around a series of demands, outlines their wishes via the Facebook page:

  • “We demand that Betsy DeVos, Jeff Sessions, and Rex Tillerson be denied cabinet positions.
  • We demand that the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines are not constructed.
  • We demand equal rights for all.
  • We demand our taxes be spent on education and jobs, not warfare and incarceration.
  • We demand a break from the two parties of big business, in favor of a new party for the working class.”
